Look around the
Limousin
The Limousin consists of 3 departments,
Creuse (23), Corrèze (19) and Haute Vienne (87). They
all offer beautiful scenery, peace and quiet and they all have something for
those interested in outdoor pursuits.
To the North West of Limoges is the
Pays de Basse Marche. The local website
www.paysdebassemarche.com is a good introduction to this area, and in
English.
Châlus, southwest of Limoges, is in
barrel-hoop makers country and you can find out more on

In the South East is the country of
Bort-Artense, a dramatic area where the
Dordogne is dammed to provide hydro-electric power. Visit

Arnac-Pompadour is home to one of
France's National Studs and the website provides lots of info about
the Stud and the small villages nearby.

Returning to France
early next week Mon/Tues
to north Dordogne area with empty van will collect and deliver en route.
Regular trips being made at the moment due to work commitments, costs
towards ferry, fuel etc.
Our 7.5 ton lorry
will be leaving North Dordogne for the UK around end of June.. via Le
Havre/Portsmouth and returning to France around the 6th July, dates to be
confirmed...we have space available both ways....for more information please

I am investigating the possibility of hosting
a training course in/around Jumilhac le Grand/St Yrieix la Perche areas.
Certainly within a 15 minute drive to Jumilhac. The venue must not be too
rural unless it is a complex with restuarant etc certainly a quick drive or
reasonable walk to eateries and maybe a bar or two!
We need a large room that can seat 18 (with
enough chairs and tables) has climate control and toilet facilities etc.
Accomodation would also be needed for both
students and tutors either on or off site.

Golden Oak is a
beautiful 5 acre lake set in the middle of tranquil farmland. It has everything

Limousin and the Dordogne; or as a mid-way stop over on your way to
the south. Montgibaud is situated just 10 minutes off exit 42 on the A20

I have just had my sheep sheared for the first time and the fleeces have
been left behind for me, has anyone got a good idea for using them or
what can I do with them? I am sure that others who have sheep will have
had this happen to them as well. Many thanks in anticipation of some
